Transport &Green Logistics

At Greenspec International, we recognize that efficient, low-emission transport and logistics systems are vital to unlocking agricultural value chains, reducing post-harvest losses, and connecting rural producers to urban and international markets. As African economies grow, so too must the capacity to move goods, services, and information sustainably, inclusively, and reliably.

We champion a climate-smart logistics agenda that brings together innovation, equity, and decarbonisation.

Our focus includes:

  • Electric vehicles (EVs) and solar-powered cargo bikes for last-mile delivery.
  • Hybrid and low-emission fleets adapted to

Rough terrain and rural conditions.

  • Green logistics hubs integrated with clean energy, cold storage, and aggregation
  • Smart routing and fleet management technologies to optimize efficiency and minimize emissions.

We work closely with cooperatives, informal transport operators, logistics startups, and MSMEs to co-develop accessible models for goods movement, especially for women traders, youth enterprises, and smallholder networks in remote areas.

Our approach is anchored in:

  • Inclusivity – ensuring underserved regions and low-income actors are part of the green mobility transition.
  • Resilience – designing infrastructure and logistics solutions that withstand climate
  • Innovation – integrating digital tools (e.g., GPS, mobile payments, logistics platforms)for transparency and responsiveness.
  • Systems change – aligning transport with broader value chain, energy, and urban planning strategies.

At the global level, we align with the UN’s Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All) framework and contribute to Scope 3 emissions reduction across agriculture, manufacturing, and retail.

Regionally, we address long-standing logistics bottlenecks that limit competitiveness and food security.
